Bully Beef Hash Shakshuka

Bully Beef Hash Shakshuka - Serves 5


Ingredients:


  • 1 large onion

  • 1 can of bully beef

  • 1 Teaspoon paprika

  • 1 Teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 cup of hash brown cubes

  • 1/2 a teaspoon dried coriander

  • 1 Teaspoon of Rooibaard grinder spice

  • 1 tin of good quality tomatoes mix

  • 5 Eggs

  • Parsley for garnishing


Method:


  • Finely chop the onions.

  • Heat your pan over high heat until it begins to smoke.

  • Combine butter and a small amount of olive oil. (The olive oil helps prevent the butter from burning)

  • Sauté the onions until they become translucent.

  • Add the hash browns and cook until golden brown.

  • Introduce the bully beef and cook for five minutes.

  • Include all the spices and cook for another five minutes.

  • Mix in the Rooibaard grinder spice.

  • Add the tomatoes and mix well. Allow it to simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Crack the eggs over the mixture.

  • Cover the pan with a lid and add coals on top of lid and cook the eggs to your preferred doneness.

  • Sprinkle with parsley and serve with buttered toast.

  • This is Bully Beef Hash Shakshuka!
